A New Year!

A New Year is heading our way …2017fb-coverSo what are YOUR plans for a life “reinvention”?

I think most of us are a little worn out with the making (and re-making) of New Year’s resolutions that barely have a life expectancy of 30 days. But, what’s that about anyway and who says?? < Insert a ‘Poof, be gone’ dismissive wave here >

There aren’t any hard-fast rules when it comes to enhancing your life … you just need to have a desire to do so. And to be honest, I think everyone has something they’d like to see changed for the better, I just happen to believe that the key is determining what you want to see happen on the outside comes by doing the INSIDE work first. And trust me, this sort of work begins with honesty and transparency with self.

Want to start a business? Look inside, see what tools you possess or lack in order to support such a venture–then do the work researching what it takes to get started. Want to meet new people? Look inside, find out what keeps you from mingling–then do the work making eye contact and introducing yourself when opportunity presents itself. Want to spend less time on social media? Look inside, ask yourself what fuels your interest–then do the work by scaling back and redirecting that energy somewhere that serves you better.

Retrospection precedes Reinvention … that’s YOUR part; to figure out where you want to go then how to get there. And once you’ve done what you know to do, step aside and give God the wheel. His sense of direction is without error.

And now, God, do it again—
bring rains to our drought-stricken lives
So those who planted their crops in despair
will shout hurrahs at the harvest,
So those who went off with heavy hearts
will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing. ~Psalm 126: 4-6

Wishing you blessings and prosperity…today, in the new year and for years to come,
